Introduction: The age is an age of science. Modern science goes on creating one wonder after another. In face, science has made the impossible possible. It has made our life easy, comfortable and enjoyable. In fact, our everyday life is now blessed with the wonderful gifts of science.

Electricity: Electricity is the first wonder of modern science. It is a great source of power and energy. It is the great power behind many scientific inventions. It works like magic. It has greatly changed our life.

Computer: Computer is a fairly recent invention of modern science. It has become part and parcel of modern life. It is being used in the fields of education, trade and commerce, banking activities, medical science etc.

Internet: Internet is also a very recent invention. It is the combined process of satellite technology and computer. It has made the world smaller and brought it within our reach. It can collect and send messages, information and pictures very quickly from one corner of the world to another. Modern information technology depends on it.

Television: We can hear the voice and see the pictures at the same time through television. Television is a means of pleasure, education and communication. Satellite Television has added a new dimension to telecasting. Satellite channels telecast programmes of varied interests.

Medical Science: Medical science has invented Biopsy, Ultrasonography, ECG, ultraviolet ray, penicillin, X-ray etc. It has lessened human sufferings. It has given eyes to the blind, Hearing to the deaf and legs to the lame.

Transports: Science has conquered space and time. The airplane, the bus, the truck, the train, the steamer, the launch etc. have conquered distance and saved our time.

Others Inventions: There are some other wonderful inventions such as telex, fax, radio, telephone, mobile pone, the rocket, the radar, tractor, power pump, fertilizers etc.

Evils of Science: Science is not only a blessing but also a curse. Modern science has invented various death weapons. It has invented the Atom Bomb, the Hydrogen Bomb, and the Missiles. These can destroyed a civilization within a few seconds. It has empowered the social criminals and at the same time endangered the lives of peace-loving people.

Conclusion: Modern science is like Aladdin's magic lamp. At present we cannot do even a day without the help of science. In short, we are indebted to science from our birth to our death. Now we should make the best use of science for the welfare of mankind.
